Climate activists made their presence known once again as they targeted a British airport where Taylor Swift’s luxury plane was stationed. The activists commandeered the airfield at Stansted Airport, located northeast of London, and sprayed private jets with orange paint. This incident follows a similar protest at Stonehenge the previous day [1].

According to the climate protest group Just Stop Oil, two activists managed to gain access to the airfield. Essex Police subsequently confirmed the arrest of two women, aged 22 and 28, on suspicion of criminal damage and interference with national infrastructure.
Identified by Just Stop Oil as Jennifer Kowalski, 28, and Cole Macdonald, 22, the activists used fire extinguishers filled with orange paint to spray the private jets. Their objective, as outlined by the group, was to demand that the next government, after the upcoming general election, commits to phasing out fossil fuels by 2030.

In a post on X, Just Stop Oil stated, “Jennifer and Cole cut the fence into the private airfield at Stansted where @taylorswift13’s jet is parked, demanding an emergency treaty to end fossil fuels by 2030.” Accompanying video footage showed one of the activists cutting a hole in the fence before proceeding to spray the paint over the targeted jets.
