FedEx driver had just delivered the package the front porch when a masked and sticky-fingered porch pirate struck in Columbus, Ohio. This brazen crook snatched the parcel just seconds after it was put down, which left the driver looking on in disbelief, according to ABC News.
Footage from a doorbell camera has since gone viral online, depicting the unsuspecting FedEx driver casually putting the package down on the porch when the hooded thief runs up behind him to grab the loot before running off, and even hopping into a waiting car in the background.
Homeowner Kyle Dorsch said, “I was shocked. I mean, I thought maybe it was a joke at first. They said it’s been happening a lot in our area, so, you know, I just feel bad. It’s a lot of people, including ourselves. Work hard to get the things we have and for them just to be taken.”
Due to the sheer number of incidents happening in the area, it’s already gaining a lot of attention. The Police have not yet identified or captured the speedy thief, but this might be just another warning to keep one’s guard up when nothing is safe from thievery.
