Responding to a distress call, officers arrived at a residence on Hoskins Way to find Kelch on the front porch holding a knife. Despite repeated commands to drop the weapon, Kelch refused to comply. Two officers discharged their firearms, and another officer deployed a Taser in an attempt to subdue Kelch. After a brief struggle, Kelch was apprehended and taken into custody.

Following the incident, both Kelch and the three stabbing victims were transported to the hospital for treatment. The victims are said to be in stable condition and are expected to recover. Kelch, now facing charges of felonious assault, remains under investigation.
