A 12-year-old boy died at a California water park following a "medical-related incident." The Irvine Police Department and local fire officials were called to Wild Rivers Water Park in Irvine, California, on Saturday afternoon. Reports indicate that a little boy needed medical assistance while at the park. The child was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

A spokesperson from Wild Rivers confirmed the death and said that the "non-water, but medical-related incident" caused the boy's passing. The park's team and emergency services worked together to handle the situation, but unfortunately, the child passed away later at the hospital.

Wild Rivers is known for being California's premier water park that features over 20 water slides, like thrill rides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. The park initially opened in July 1986 and recently reopened in 2022 after expanding its offerings.
