A tense situation unfolded in Queens early on Wednesday when 30-year-old Judd Sanson, a man known for espousing extreme Jihadist views on the internet, was apprehended in a disturbing discovery that raised concerns of potential violence, according to sources close to the investigation.
Law enforcement officials swiftly took Sanson into custody just after 4:30 a.m., where a chilling array of weaponry was uncovered in his possession. Among the alarming items seized were a loaded gun, nine fully stocked magazines, body armor, handcuffs, two axes, a stun gun, multiple knives, a weighted whip, and an expandable baton, as well as NYPD “items,” as confirmed by reliable law enforcement sources.
Of particular concern were the unsettling inscriptions on the expandable baton, including phrases such as “You left me no choice, I am sorry, You gon (sic) learn today” and the Arabic term for “God forgive me,” leaving authorities on high alert.
Additionally, an orange MTA vest was found among Sanson’s belongings, adding another layer of intrigue to the troubling situation, the Post’s sources disclosed.
Early this morning in Queens, NY, the NYPD Queens Public Task Force pulled over a car with its license plate covered. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered a gun with nine magazines, NYPD clothing, a vest, MTA clothing, and various other items.

Commenting on the severity of the discovery, a police official shared with The New York Post [4], “Given what was in there, something very bad was potentially averted. The intent is still under investigation. The sum of the parts had the potential for something awful.”
The Post’s sources also revealed that Sanson had expressed extremist ideologies through his online presence, adding to the complexity of the ongoing investigation.
Initial contact between law enforcement and Sanson occurred around 1 a.m. during a routine traffic stop by officers from the 110th Precinct in Queens at the intersection of 23rd Avenue and 86th Street. It was during this encounter that authorities identified the cache of weapons stored in Sanson’s Ford Explorer.
Reportedly, the SUV’s license plate was obstructed, prompting the stop, with suspicions arising that Sanson was using the vehicle as his residence, in addition to being a known drug user, according to the Post’s sources.
Following the incident, Sanson was issued a violation for the license plate infraction and faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon and ammunition, according to the Post’s sources closely involved in the case.
