Nike seems to have forgotten about the WNBA in a now-deleted tweet.

Late Thursday night, the sports apparel giant tweeted, "And that's that… a week without hoops 🤪" after the Mavericks advanced to the NBA Finals.

The tweet clearly referred to the break in men's pro basketball until the Celtics and Mavericks clash in the NBA finals, which start June 6th. However, Nike completely ignored the ongoing WNBA season—a league they heavily invest in.  The WNBA has enjoyed success like no other season with the addition of Caitlin Clark and several other sensational stars via the 2024 WNBA Draft.

The tweet was ultimately deleted by Nike after realizing their mistake and taking intense backlash from individuals on social media.
