Akron, Ohio was struck by a horrifying incident of violence overnight, as a mass shooting unfolded, resulting in the death of one individual and leaving at least 26 others wounded. According to local authorities, the Akron Police Department responded to the distressing incident, which occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday morning near the intersection of Kelly Ave. and 8th Ave.

In the aftermath of the incident, numerous calls flooded the 911 emergency services, alerting law enforcement to the grievous nature of the situation. Witnesses at the scene reported multiple victims being shot, causing alarm and prompting a swift response from the police.
As the chaos subsided, victims began to arrive at nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention. Tragically, one victim, a 27-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Investigating the crime scene, authorities discovered a firearm and numerous bullet casings, indicating a highly disturbing level of violence. The Akron Police Department is working to gather evidence and piece together the events that led to this tragic outcome.
