The Kansas City Chiefs called off their practice on Thursday after backup defensive end BJ Thompson experienced a medical emergency. Reports indicate that Thompson had a seizure and went into cardiac arrest, leading to his transportation to the hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, he is now in stable condition.

As a result, the team's practice and media availability were rescheduled for Friday.

Thompson, drafted in the fifth round last year, is about to enter his second season in the NFL. He made an appearance in one game during his rookie season. The Chiefs are wrapping up their OTA workouts this week, with mandatory minicamp set to start on June 11, and official training camp beginning in July.
