Joe Exotic, the infamous star of Netflix’s Tiger King, is once again in the spotlight, questioning whether his plea for freedom is being ignored because he’s “too white” for Kim Kardashian’s support. From his cell in Santa Rosa County Jail, Florida, Exotic, 61, unleashed a furious tirade against Kardashian, 43, for not responding to his repeated calls for help in securing his release.

Exotic is currently serving a 21-year sentence for conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire and fears he may die behind bars after a recent lung cancer diagnosis. Despite his desperate situation, he insists he doesn’t need Kardashian’s money, just her influential voice to advocate for his release.

“I’ve called Kim Kardashian plain out,” he said. “Am I too white for her help? Because all I need is her voice. I don’t need her money. I don’t need her to spend her whole life helping me do this. All I need is for her to pick up a phone and call the White House and say, ‘Look, I’m behind Joe’s movement. This is good. The system is messed up.’”

In 2020, Exotic begged Kardashian to call President Donald Trump for a pardon, even reaching out to Kourtney Kardashian to bring his case to Kim’s attention. His recent Instagram plea to Kendall Jenner received significant attention but no tangible results.

Exotic didn’t stop at criticizing Kardashian. He also took aim at Justin Bieber, 30, accusing him of not using his vast social media influence for good. “Do you realize that’s four times the amount of votes that the President of the United States gets to run the most powerful country in the world?” he questioned. “Why don’t people like Justin Bieber use their influence to help fix our problems?”

Interestingly, Exotic praised Cardi B for her continued support, noting her efforts in setting up a GoFundMe page to help him afford legal representation. “She’s been my voice on and off out there this whole time,” he said.

Exotic’s efforts to gain freedom are not limited to seeking celebrity help. He has shifted his strategy from seeking a pardon to filing a petition for clemency. Additionally, he is running as an unaffiliated candidate in the 2024 presidential election, advocating for prison reform and promising radical changes if elected. Earlier this month in what appears to be an interview done from jail, he discusses several topics surrounding his case and situation:

Despite his controversial background, Exotic remains a resilient figure, determined to fight for his freedom and make a statement against what he perceives as a corrupt system.
