Federal Judge Blocks Biden’s Anti-Biological Female Title IX Rules In 6 More States

FRANKFORT, Ky. – A federal judge has put the brakes on the Biden regime’s latest bid to push its agenda, hitting pause on the new Title IX rule expansion in six more states. U.S. District Judge Danny C. Reeves didn’t mince words, calling the move “arbitrary in the truest sense of the word” as he granted a preliminary injunction, slamming on the brakes in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. This blow comes just after another federal judge halted the new regulation from rolling out in Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Montana.

The news was music to the ears of Kentucky’s GOP attorney general, Russell Coleman, who wasted no time in voicing his disdain for the regulation, which he argues could undercut opportunities for women. “The judge’s order makes clear that the U.S. Department of Education’s attempt to redefine ‘sex’ to include ‘gender identity’ is unlawful and beyond the agency’s regulatory authority,” scoffed Coleman in a statement that surely ruffled a few feathers.

The legal tussle is just one of multiple battles being waged by more than 20 Republican-dominated states pushing back against Joe Biden’s policy changes. The proposed update to Title IX, set to kick off in August, allegedly aims to extend civil rights protections to LGBTQ+ students, tweak the definition of sexual harassment within educational settings, and enhance support mechanisms for victims.
