Former NFL player Daniel Muir is facing allegations of abuse after his 14-year-old son, Bryson Muir, was reported missing and endangered in Indiana. The Indiana State Police are seeking assistance in locating Bryson after his grandmother alleged that his father had given him a black eye and split lip.
The situation unfolded after Bryson was picked up by his parents from a relative’s home near Cleveland, Ohio, on June 16. However, he was not with them when their car was pulled over shortly afterward by police. The Cass County Department of Child Services requested assistance from the Indiana State Police in investigating the allegations of domestic battery.

While the Muir parents initially cooperated with authorities, they later reneged on their agreement to bring Bryson in for questioning, causing a silver alert to be issued for the missing teenager. The case is ongoing, and as of now, no charges have been filed.

Kristen Muir's mother, Cheryl Wright, expressed her concern to NBC affiliate WTHR, stating that she saw her grandson with a black eye, fat lip, and swollen face and immediately contacted the police. According to Wright, Bryson claimed his father was responsible for his injuries, but shockingly, he seemed to believe he deserved it, a claim Wright vehemently disputed.
Accompanying the silver alert was a photo of Bryson displaying his bruised eye, which his grandmother shared with the authorities. Wright also revealed that when she went to retrieve Bryson at her daughter's request, the Muirs were accompanied by an unidentified man. When the Muirs returned days later to pick up Bryson, Wright promptly alerted the police, suspecting that her grandson had been moved to another vehicle to avoid detection.
The search for Bryson is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Indiana State Police at 765- 513-9907 or 911. They described Bryson as 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
