Doocy Confronts Biden About ‘Pulling The Strings’ On Lawfare Against Trump [VIDEOS]

In the face of former President Donald Trump’s landmark conviction on 34 felony charges [1], Joe Biden remains seemingly unfazed. Despite concerns among Republicans over the possibility of politically motivated prosecutions once presidents leave office, Biden expressed a level of confidence that has some questioning his integrity.

At a White House gathering honoring the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory, Fox News journalist Peter Doocy pressed Biden on whether criminal charges could await him after his time in office. Unsurprisingly, the president appeared defiant, stating, “Not at all. I didn’t do anything wrong. The system proves that.”

When asked for his thoughts on how the trial’s outcome might impact the ex-president’s political fortunes, Biden appeared downright dismissive, saying, “I have no idea.”

Pundits on the political left have seized on polls showing that some Republicans are questioning their past support for Trump following his conviction. This, however, seems little to Biden, who mocked the idea of any possible wrong-doing with a snarky remark, “I didn’t know I held that much power.”

Biden’s remarks were markedly different from his previous statements, and he seemed to suggest an overreliance on the integrity of the country’s very flawed justice system. At another White House event, Biden disparaged Trump’s claims that a rigged system influenced his trial’s final verdict. Biden said the former president’s accusations were ‘reckless, dangerous, and irresponsible’ and that we must respect the justice system’s flawed decisions regardless of their merits.
