Crazy Town lead singer Shifty Shellshock, whose real name is Seth Binzer, has passed away at the age of 49.
The vocalist was found dead [1] in his home in Los Angeles. The LA medical examiner’s office has yet to provide a cause of death.
Seth Binzer founded Crazy Town in 1995, and the group skyrocketed to international fame with their smash hit “Butterfly,” which soared to Number 1 on the U.S. Billboard charts and became a fixture on music television and rock clubs around the world.
The band eventually went on hiatus after their second album, “Darkhorse,” in 2003 but regrouped in 2007 and released their third album, “The Brimstone Sluggers,” in 2015.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Seth faced personal battles with addiction over the years, and he even sought help on U.S. reality TV shows “Celebrity Rehab” and “Sober House.”
Just recently, on April 28, he had taken to Instagram to express his devotion to sobriety,”I’m a lover than a fighter …but the one I need to love more Instead of fight with is myself .. mr shifty true Love # Sober alive and grateful.”
