Female boxing champion Claressa Shields has thrown down the gauntlet to Jake Paul, confident he stands no chance against her in the ring. Shields, boasting an undefeated 14-0 record, minced no words about Paul's boxing prowess, saying, "I don't think he's that good of a boxer."

Jake Paul has some extra months to train for his upcoming fight against Mike Tyson, postponed from July 20 to November 15 due to Tyson's medical scare. However, once the dust settles on November 16, Shields wants to be the next to challenge the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

"The offer is always up there if Jake Paul wanna scrap with me," Shields told TMZ Sports. "I'm never ever going to say or even feel that Jake Paul can beat me in a boxing match because he can't." Shields holds a grudge against Paul, who she claims tried to kick her when she was down after a split-decision loss in her MMA debut, calling her a "loser."

"You can't call me a loser because you don't box better than me," Shields fired back. "And you damn sure don't do MMA better than me. You do nothing better than me." Shields’s confidence comes from her extensive experience and success, holding multiple titles including the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, WBF, and The Ring female middleweight titles.

Here's What They're Not Telling You About Your Retirement

Jake Paul's boxing career has been marked by victories over opponents who were mostly retired MMA fighters rather than professional boxers. His most notable wins include fights against Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley, both well past their prime and not known for their boxing skills. Askren, a former MMA champion, was 36 when he faced Paul, while Woodley, also a former MMA champ, was 39. These bouts have often raised eyebrows among boxing purists, questioning the legitimacy of Paul’s achievements in the sport.

Paul, with a 9-1 record and six knockouts, may have some victories under his belt, but many remain unimpressed. His most notable defeat was a split decision loss to Tommy Fury in 2023. Meanwhile, Tyson, now 57, hasn’t fought competitively since 2005, with his last appearance being an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.
