WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy has issued a stark warning about the urgent threat of firearm violence, particularly its impact on children. For the first time in history, the office of the Surgeon General is releasing an advisory on firearm violence, emphasizing the critical need for action.

"Hello, I'm U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy," began Murthy in a public address. "Today, for the first time in the history of our office, I am issuing a surgeon general's advisory on firearm violence. It outlines the urgent threat firearm violence poses to the health and well-being of our country."

Murthy expressed deep concern over the rising toll on children. "Firearm violence has become the number one cause of death among children and adolescents, more than car accidents or drug overdoses," he stressed. He shared the emotional stories of parents who have lost children to gun violence, emphasizing, "As a father, I know a parent's worst nightmare is to lose a child, to feel like you can't protect your child from harm."

There are several major problems with what Murthy is saying here. First and foremost, firearms are inanimate objects that can not commit any acts, violent or otherwise, without a human being involved. This is just another example of the left changing and using language as a weapon.

Another major issue is the definition of children, which Murthy doesn't cover in his video. Most people would consider children to be young humans under the age of 18. According to Murthy's report, adults who are 18 and 19 years old are now considered children.

So let me get this straight, 'gun violence' is so out of control that for the first time in history, the Surgeon General declares an emergency while at the same time the FBI says violent crime is down. Make it make sense.
