ST. LOUIS — Early Sunday morning, a violent incident in downtown St. Louis left at least six people shot, one of them fatally, according to police reports.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that “officers are on scene of a shooting near 10th and Market streets.” This location is only two blocks northwest of Busch Stadium.

Authorities confirmed that one individual died at the scene while at least five others sustained injuries. The severity of their injuries remains unknown at this time.
Homicide detectives were promptly dispatched to investigate the incident, which erupted around 2:30 a.m. This fatal shooting marks the 81st homicide in St. Louis for 2024, based on data from 5 On Your Side [4].
