Abdu took to his personal X account to name Abdallah Aljamal, a 36-year-old “journalist,” and his wife Fatima among those allegedly killed by IDF forces during a raid in Nuseirat, where hostages were reportedly held. Investigations revealed Aljamal’s affiliation with the Palestine Chronicle, a pro-Hamas outlet led by former Al-Jazeera official Ramzi Baroud, operating under the People Media Project, a 501(c)3 organization registered in Olympia, Washington State since 2012, although their IRS filings were not publicly available.

Abdu’s tweet hinted at an IDF incursion involving a ladder being used to access the premises. When prompted about the likelihood of the Aljamal family harboring Israeli captives, Abdu deferred to Israeli authorities for confirmation. He noted that, according to his information, at least seven other homes were targeted in the Israeli operation.
This incident underscores a recurrent pattern wherein purported Gazan civilians have been implicated in sheltering hostages on behalf of terrorist factions.
