The names of the victims have not been disclosed to respect their privacy. As of early Saturday, four patients have been treated and released, while three remain in the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Two victims are at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, and one is at Bryan Health West Campus in Lincoln.

The Nebraska State Patrol SWAT Team entered the house at 1810 Parkland Street, where the shots originated, and found the occupant, 74-year-old Billy Booth, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Investigators located a shotgun and another firearm inside the residence, though they believe only the shotgun was used in the shooting.

Around 15 individuals were present at the victims’ residence during the shooting. The Nebraska State Patrol, Crete Police Department, and Saline County Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the fire and rescue teams from various towns for their swift response, and to medical facilities for the victims’ care.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
