The horrifying episode took place on Monday afternoon in the parking lot of the Giant Eagle at 27264 Lorain Road. The city's police department swiftly responded to reports of a woman dressed in all black carrying out the vicious attack. Fortunately, Julian's mother, 38-year-old Margot Wood, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
North Olmsted Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones expressed the community's anguish, describing the incident as a "terrible tragedy for our entire community." It was further revealed that the assailant, Bionca Ellis, was apprehended by law enforcement while still in possession of the kitchen knife used in the attack, and is known to the authorities for a prior offense but has no history of violent crime.

The devastating nature of this crime is compounded by the fact that last year, the same Giant Eagle store was the scene of a murder-suicide involving a 63-year-old female employee who was fatally shot by her ex-husband.
