Two Dead, Three Injured In Mass Work Place Shooting In Pennsylvania [VIDEOS]

In a tragic turn of events today, an employee of Delaware County Linen in Chester, Pennsylvania, opened fire at about 8:30 a.m., killing two people and leaving three others severely injured. The suspect, whose name has not been released, is reportedly in police custody. According to ABC Philadelphia’s affiliate WPVI, this individual had allegedly made threats in the past, prompting concerns about their mental state.

The two employees who died were simply showing up for work when they were met with catastrophic violence. Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer expressed his condolences, stating, “Two individuals who, unfortunately, have lost their life just by showing up at work today.”

It still remains unclear what motivated the shooter to carry out such a heinous and senseless act. There is also no indication whether the victims were targeted specifically.

Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene in a black Hyundai. However, their attempt to escape was ultimately foiled by a police officer from Trainer, Pennsylvania, who was responding to the situation. Upon inspection of the car, a firearm was discovered, although it has yet to be determined whether this was the weapon used in the killing spree.

According to Chester’s mayor, the wounded individuals include a supervisor at the facility. Unfortunately, it is unclear whether this person is among the dead. Although the three victims managed to survive the attack, they are still in the hospital with serious injuries.

The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation.
