P. Diddy Faces No Charges For Horrible Hotel Assault Caught On Camera – LA DA [VIDEO]

LA district attorneys have confirmed that they cannot prosecute Sean Combs, professionally known as Diddy, after the emergence of a video showing the artist assaulting Cassie Ventura in a hotel. The DA ruled that the statute of limitations for assault has lapsed since the attack happened on March 5, 2016. As per California law, charges for an attack must be brought within one year of the occurrence for simple assault, or three years for aggravated assault. Hence, given the timeline and Combs’ alleged attack on Ventura at the InterContinental Hotel, no charge can be leveled against him. Ventura sued Combs last year, claiming that he also raped her. The two settled out of court in November, although their agreement’s details are undisclosed. Apart from Ventura, Combs is also combating charges of sexual misconduct and abuse from several other accusers.

Surveillance footage from 2016 resurfaced, revealing shocking and disturbing behavior by Sean “Diddy” Combs towards his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. The video, obtained by CNN [2] and dated March 5, 2016, captures the rapper and producer pursuing the singer down a hallway at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.

In the footage, Combs, clad in only a towel, aggressively grabs Ventura by the back of her neck, throws her to the floor, and proceeds to kick her. He then picks up her purse and suitcase before kicking her again while she remains on the floor. After briefly dragging her by her sweatshirt, he shoves her as she attempts to stand and later throws an object at her.

The distressing video has garnered widespread attention, further affirming the claims made by Ventura in her lawsuit against Combs. Douglas H. Wigdor, Ventura’s lawyer, expressed the strength and bravery she displayed by coming forward with her allegations.

Ventura, who had an on-and-off relationship with Combs from 2007 to 2018, filed a lawsuit in November 2023, accusing the Bad Boy Records founder of physical violence and sexual abuse. According to Ventura’s claims, Combs allegedly paid $50,000 to obtain the security footage of the altercation from the InterContinental Hotel.

The lawsuit was resolved the following day with an undisclosed settlement, with the gut-wrenching video shining a light on the disturbing and predatory behavior that Ventura had endured.

This revelation has reignited conversations around domestic abuse and the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions, regardless of their social or professional status.
