In a disturbing turn of events, a video circulating on social media captures the moment a passing driver unleashed a fire extinguisher on an NYPD traffic agent while the officer was seated in his patrol car in Harlem. The incident, which occurred at around 6:50 a.m. on Thursday, took place as the agent was driving a marked NYPD cruiser north on Saint Nicholas Avenue near 118th Street.

The footage reveals a four-door sedan pulling up beside the officer, with a front seat passenger holding a fire extinguisher in his lap. The individual then shouts “Yo!” at the agent before releasing the contents of the extinguisher through the open window into the police car. The perpetrators can be heard laughing in the video as they drive away, accompanied by music playing in the background.
